| This special Bootles performance is a nostalgic journey of the history of the Beatles. It is a full 2 hour theatre show where the audience are shown slides of some of the important people and places that were involved with The Beatles in the early days. Alan met The Beatles when he played with his old band in Liverpool in the 1960s and has lots of stories to tell about them.
The story starts on 6th July 1957 at St. Peter's Church in the Woolton district of Liverpool. It was the church's garden fete in the afternoon and John was playing with his old band The Quarrymen. Paul had heard that John was looking for more serious musicians and went along and introduced himself.
Paul and George went to the same school and George was interested in joining the band, so Paul introduced him to John.
John's friend Stuart Sutcliffe played the bass in the early days but they didn't have a regular drummer, until they went to Hamburg and Pete Best joined the band.
In 1961 Brian Epstein saw them playing at The Cavern and became their manager. There was the controversial sacking of Pete Best and Ringo was brought in. Brian got them a recording contract and as they say - THE REST IS HISTORY!
This show continues to play to packed houses throughout Europe and Scandinavia and is an experience not to be missed!
THE BOOTLES DO NOT WASTE TIME TRYING TO LOOK LIKE THE BEATLES - THE MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT IS IN A CLASS OF IT'S OWN.
